I lost my eyesight at 23 years old in a car accident. I have been feeling the questions of how can I do anything while being blind. And my goal is to spread awareness that just because somebody is disabled does not mean that they cannot do something. I am a blind golfer. And I’m looking to spread my message and all forums. I am also a Marine Corps veteran that has been instilled with the motto adapt and overcome. Are use this in my every day life. And I strive every day to show everyone around me that no matter what life throws at you you can overcome it with a positive attitude and a good work ethic.

Teresa Collins is an experienced, high-impact motivational and empowerment speaker, author, and teacher. Teresa does not hold back as she shares powerful truths and lessons learned throughout her unique and profound experiences in life. She always speaks from her own first-hand, real-life experiences, and she uplifts and inspires others who hear her messages. She shares strategies, outlooks, and attitudes to improve and enrich the lives of those who listen to her message. Teresa has endured more than most people will ever have to experience, but through it all, she maintains an attitude of fierce determination, a resolute will to succeed, and a desire to find all the good that life has to offer. Through sharing her own significant life experiences and how she has not just survived but thrived, she inspires others to never give up and to seek the POWER of positivity, purpose, and potential. You would never know it looking at her now, but Teresa comes from an extremely difficult childhood that involved sexual, verbal, physical, and emotional abuse by her own father and very little support or protection from her mother. She grew up in poverty in Hickory, NC, and often had no food or heat and lived in very difficult circumstances. Her own parents made it clear that she (the product of an affair) was not wanted and was not of value. Despite circumstances that would cause many people to crumble and surrender, Teresa always knew she had intrinsic worth, and has always felt a determination to rise above and find joy and success in life. Later in life, Teresa survived a massive stroke at the age of 29 while pregnant with her fifth child. She was told she would die that night, but she was determined to not only survive, but thrive. She still suffers the effects of that stroke to this day with vision loss and numbness, but she treats those as physical limitations as reminders of how fortunate she is to be alive instead of being bitter or making excuses. Life would test Teresa once again when, after 19 years of marriage, and five children, she was widowed after her husband lost his battle with cancer. Teresa has always chosen to rely on her unfailing positivity to rise above and always keep going no matter what life brings her way. She chooses to be happy, and then and shares how others can find meaning, desire, purpose, and joy in life. Teresa firmly believes that you are a magnet for anything that you want to attract in your life, and that the “hard” actually is there to STRENGTHEN you, not defeat you. Teresa has been sharing her message all around the world for nearly twenty years now to groups of all sizes and demographics. Her desire is to encourage the audience to seek for more, and to find their own unique and limitless potential. Teresa has been able to impact thousands of women and men and encourage them to SET NO LIMITS on themselves. She wants you to face your fears NOW and shift your perspective to have an awakening

The asked question was “Why Choose Me?” Well, in choosing me, you are choosing yourself. When you hear me speak, I will be speaking on your behalf. I am your social agent. You give me a problem, and I will do more than just solve it. I will convince you that it isn’t a problem at all, but an opportunity for you to put your best self on display for the world to see. In teaching music to elementary school students, I have experienced first hand how kids from the ages of 4 to 14 interact. Spoiler alert, it’s the same way adults interact. We just have more to share and more ways to share it. My goal on the stage is the same as it is in the classroom. Be simple and effective. I will take whatever complications you have and make them appear as simple as can be. Whether it’s a problem you have with yourself, or with the world around you, I will help you reconnect with what matters most in your life which will drive you to always make the decision that is best for you. At the end of the day, you will always make the choice. My job is to provide you with the consequences of your choices and help you find the one that holds the most value to your long term happiness. In order to prove that I am all in for you, I prefer to start my speeches by asking the question “Who’s First?” If someone has a question for me, that becomes the focus. If I end up spending my entire time on the stage answering audience questions, then that is a success. In the potential event in which no audience members come forward with their own stories, I will always have my own motivational material prepared. One way or another, you will receive a clearer understanding of what makes you special, and how showing that special is the greatest, and only, choice you ever need to make in life.
