My passion for inclusive groups, communities and environments runs deep. I work every day to help my clients and other audiences understand inclusivity and, more specifically, belonging: what it is, why it’s important to me, why it should matter to them, where they are in their BELONGING JOURNEY™ and how to foster a true sense of belonging for themselves, their teams and their organizations. Personally, I feel a great sense of belonging across the many groups and communities I’m part of. I feel like I can be my authentic self. But that wasn’t always the case. From childhood to young adulthood (and even beyond), I struggled to feel like I fit in, like I truly belonged—in my family, at school, playing sports, in my small hometown, at my university, in my fraternity, in my early career, anywhere, everywhere. Of course, I didn’t know that’s what the feeling was or how to address it until later in life when I had the vocabulary and tools to do so. Now, because of my earlier experience with it—or perhaps, despite it—I’m drawn to the science of belonging, I’m drawn to igniting conversations about belonging, I’m drawn to designing experiences that nurture a sense of belonging. And I’m drawn to helping you do the same for your teams and organization.

I’m a people manager, I'm a motivator, I'm hands-on experienced in sales and building top-performing teams. I began my career in sales as an individual contributor with Robert Half International, Inc. (NYSE: RHI) tasked with delivering against a sales / production quota. As an early-career sales professional, I was fortunate to have joined an organization that had a recipe (as many do) designed to facilitate a quick ramp and deliver production. The recipe was detailed. High-volume activity, discipline and adherence to the the recipe would culminate in high-performance. Leadership knows based on research, data and history that if you show up and perform the recipe as an individual contributor, you will succeed – and I did. By the fall of 2000, my performance as a sales rep had outpaced my peers and I was asked to step into a people management role. Over a 10-year career, my scope of influence grew to overseeing multiple teams, offices and disciplines within the professional services sales and delivery setting. After RHI, I moved to Randstad, Inc (NYSE: RAND.AS) as the Managing Director for Michigan. As my career grew over the years, I ended up managing larger teams and eventually overseeing other people managers in multiple locations. I’ve been asked to coach and develop managers who were earlier in their careers than myself and I’ve been selected to participate in management training programs both corporate and externally facilitated. At RHI, I had led sales training for 8 regional offices and was selected to go through the Crestcom "Bullet Proof Manager" certification in 2009. At Randstad, I and facilitated national new-hire training in collaboration with a team of executives. Over 7 years from 2010 through 2016, we applied this training to hundreds of new hires and adapted the training to include new methods and improve audience participation. In 2016, I joined Amazon (NYSE: AMZN) to stand-up a new sales team in Detroit, MI - the first remote office for the AmazonBusiness Seller Development organization. Again, I was able to build a team that included top-talent and delivered exponential growth. On the heels of this success, I wrote, coordinated and delivered the first-ever New-Hire Boot Camp training for the AB Seller Development team in Q12019. In Q12020, I partnered with 2 other sales leaders to develop and present the Challenger Sales Method to over 200 sales professionals from around the world at the annual Sales Kick Off Event in February. In 2021, I stepped in as the single-threaded leader for the entire US 3P SKO event and hosted! I bring expertise in people management, leadership, sales, hiring, SOP development, customer experience, negotiation and motivation. I am excited to customize content for your needs!

✔️ MY WHY I’ve been obsessed with understanding how people work for as long as I can remember! I founded The Confidence Craft with the bold ambition of helping talented individuals – especially women – master their mindsets, perform at their peak and become magnetic leaders. Since then I've been featured in the mainstream media from the BBC to The Guardian newspaper and I've even been the behaviour and body language specialist for the hit TV show, 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' for two years running. After decades working in the fast-paced world of TV advertising, I watched so much talent wither and die. Amazing individuals would wrestle with their confidence and struggle to put themselves out there. I was determined to stop the wasted potential. I know how it feels to stay stuck, small and frustrated. I’ve used that energy to help thousands of people all over the world revolutionise their confidence and turn their huge dreams into reality. When you can nail your mindset, upgrade your behaviour and turbo-charge your impact, anything is possible. ✔️ MY WORK I support clients through my coaching work, group programmes, workshops and public speaking. I’m also passionate about helping people to help other people. My unique, CPD accredited programme, ‘The Leap’ trains leaders to become capable and certified Mindset and Confidence Mentors. ✔️ MY EXPERTISE I take my credentials seriously, so you can take my work seriously. This filters into my evidence-based approach and my unique ‘Inside Out’ methodology which draws heavily on neuroscience, behavioural psychology and kinesics. I’m one of a small number of fully qualified Master Neuro Coaches in the UK. I’m also an accredited IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy) and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner. I'm also about to publish my first book. Combined with my Master’s degree in Human Communication and over 20+ years working at the cutting edge of advertising research, I pride myself on my ability to make even the most complex concepts accessible, entertaining and memorable. ✔️ MY SPEAKING APPROACH I'm an accomplished and experienced public speaker who regularly guests at events all over the world as a presenter, key-note speaker, panellist and host. (Not bad for a woman who was once so terrified of public speaking, she considered changing careers!) I take a heart-centred but results-orientated approach to my speaking. My style balances warmth, humour and authority and I always motivate my audiences to feel, think and do things differently. I look forward to inspiring your audience too.
