Maurice Jager is one of Europe’s leading headshot photographers. Maurice is an authority on creating personal brands for his clients as well as for the photographers within his community. His approach is very raw and honest, and his talks and speaking is a lot like that. No nonsense, but applicable information to start improving personal brands today., A little background on Maurice: Maurice’s childhood and youth evolved around sports. Pushing hard to be the best on the pitch was his daily routine. When that ended abruptly because of an injury due to a traffic accident he needed to find a new direction. Figuring out what drives people drew his interest and marketing became the name of the new game, and he jumped straight in and led several departments in the corporate world for almost a decade. While time passed, the job jumped the shark as the creative aspect of the job diminished and the commercial goals became overly important for his taste. He felt he needed yet again to make a change in his life. Maurice has been photographing for years already and that’s when he decided to take up photography full-time. Up until then Maurice always worked with people and tried to get the best out of them. Headshot and portrait photography is exactly what ties it all together. His competitive nature got him to become one of the premiere headshot photographers in Europe. Today, Maurice supports businesses and entrepreneurs in positioning themselves by telling their story through image content. Besides all of this, he’s also the co-founder of a photography educational platform called ‘Screw the metadata’ where he helps photographers find their voice, create meaningful content and market themselves in a way that makes them unique in their space. Maurice is also a global speaker for his sponsors, and he is the author of a book named 'Personal branding for photographers' where he gives photography entrepreneurs the tools to apply image content in their branding and marketing themselves (Dutch only). Maurice himself has build an audience on social media currently exceeding 100.000 people.

I am a Self-made millionaire and did this by the age of 29. I paid off $350K in debt in a 3 year period. I built a $14M business which started in the second bedroom of my rented apartment on fold out tables and chairs. I have run multiple start-ups, some successful, others not so much. However, this experience enables me to identify issues with my clients businesses and help them avoid the same mistakes I made. I have learnt how to fail faster. I've had the great honor of representing clients as a attorney and a legal-preneur for the past 14 years and have also been a lifestyle and finance coach during that time. I day trade and swing trade and have been very successful growing my accounts in a logical, low risk manner. I love to trade, it is fun and exciting. I also love making money and teaching others how to do the same.

Hey you! Thanks for taking the time to read about me. I'm a musician turned business owner. Yes, I once dreamed of being a rockstar, dropping out of college at one point. After going back and finishing college I felt directionless. I was working my way up in an organization towards a role that was ultimately unfulfilling and when I arrived in that role, I had an epiphany; I hated it. So I decided to get out. I used my knowledge of selling music gear on ebay and the guide of a mentor to launch my own ecommerce business! I made a $2k investment and began growing my business on ebay. After nurturing this burgeoning company for a year, I took a leap of faith. I quit my job and started down the path of entrepreneurship. I launched on Amazon and developed a multi-channel strategy, with Amazon being the most dominant. Amidst double digit growth for 6 straight years and a peak of almost $400k in sales, something was still missing. Eventually, circumstances brought me to a crossroads and I decided to take another leap of faith and pivot the business. I went from selling to helping other businesses sell on Amazon. I now run my own Amazon Managed Services Agency and love it. We translate your brand story into highly engaging product listings and artfully utilize Amazon's Advertising Platform to insert your brand into the conversations consumers are having with them. We routinely manage 6 figure ad spend on AAP, have launched dozens of brands, achieved multiple 1st page search results, and reinstated suspended accounts. Be it taking a Vendor account from $0 to $21k in POs or taking a Seller account down 50% to up 10% YOY (in 60 days), we’re committed problem solvers. If you're looking to take your business to the next level on Amazon, want to book me as a speaker at your event, or would just like to connect, message me at michael@thinkcartology.com. Or schedule a time to speak at https://calendly.com/michaelmaher and we'll get the conversation started.
