Stephen started out as an entrepreneur mowing lawns & providing snow shoveling services. As the years moved on, he added a dog walking business which expanded into a pet sitting business once he turned 18. From there he found his second passion, photography. Stephen interned for 2 years with a local photography company. With the help of his mentors Joel & David, Stephen was able to launch his own company and build a portfolio for SEGG Media. In mid 2018, tragedy struck Stephen when a friend of his unfortunately died by suicide. Stephen at the time was only actively involved with volunteering with the local humane society. After this tragedy struck, he lost a job at a local landscaping company & began to invest his time into the mental health awareness & suicide prevention field. He then found the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Through them he and two of his closest friends that were affected by suicide attended their first Out of the Darkness Community Walk. In 2019, Stephen was finally granted permission to create the Michiana Out Of the Darkness Walk. 2019 will be the first Michiana Out of the Darkness Walk in nearly 7 years and brings a much needed effort to the Michiana Community.
