Shari Fitzpatrick is the creator of the world’s famous line of gourmet-dipped strawberries, the renowned Shari’s Berries. Shari’s love affair with strawberries began as a little girl with a strawberry patch that her Father planted for her each summer. They quickly became her favorite fruit. Later while working as a mortgage broker in Los Angeles she began making potential clients handmade chocolate dipped strawberries. The incredible popularity of these memorable edible gifts soon outpaced the success of her original career. In 1989, with a $1,500 cash advance, having just moved to a new town, Shari took her passion and hobby of chocolate dipping strawberries and turned it into a business. An acclaimed inspirational speaker, and now author, Shari entertains audiences of all ages and backgrounds while sharing her down-to-earth, heartfelt business story. Appealing to anyone who has a dream, she’ll take your group on an emotional journey as she intertwines the successes in her life along with her mistakes. Leadership & Organisational Development Strategist Conference Speaker MBA (Leader Development; Leadership; Strategic Management; Finance Management; Corporate Governance; Change Management & Project Management) Executive Director: Professional Speakers Group P/L, Foundation Road & In A Sense Group Hi, I'm Colin Emerson, The Billion Dollar Leader. I'm the Billion Dollar Leader as I know what it takes to build a business by a billion dollars in under three years. Been there! Done that! Today, I focus on creating the leaders that others aspire to be. Leaders who inspire. Who create. Who make a difference. Leaders who are strategic thinkers, builders, disruptors and challenge the future for the better. Leaders who grow their organisation and create real wealth for all; their family, their people, their shareholders, their suppliers, their community, their world. A leader who understands what the next generation of amazing leaders are looking for in the world they seek to create with you, just as much as they understand the demands of today's world. Leaders who are values inspired. Values in business, leadership and life. Where the values of the leader determine their value as a leader. Where values guide leaders to making the right decisions, at the right times and for the right reasons. Where values lead to increased customer loyalty, business growth and greater profits. And how knowing what you value in life has the power to change lives now and for generations to come. “I believe that every presentation I make is an opportunity to inspire someone to make a difference to either their life as an individual person or to a business as a whole. But it can’t be done through just presenting a theory; it has to be real experiences that have been lived, good or not so good, and experiences that work in the real world that inspires people to make that difference a reality in their world.” Currently one of the leading lights in bringing values inspired or values based leadership to the fore as a key to any and every true business success. Colin brings over 32 years of leading and managing organisations at a state, national and international level to every presentation. Not just a theory, his knowledge and experience has been used to achieve real business growth within major corporations both locally and overseas. He uses these experiences particularly those gained in building a team that generated growth in excess of $1,000,000,000 in under three years, capturing double digit market share without the use of any radio or TV advertising. He has delivered over 1,000 seminars, speaking engagements and workshops in Australia, New Zealand and USA and is author of “The Values Inspired Leader” and “My Life To Live”. Currently authoring a new book, "Why Bastard Bosses Are Failures and How Not To Be One", for publishing late 2018. AVAILABLE TO SPEAK IN: Australia, USA, Asia-Pacific, Europe and South Africa.

This isn’t the easiest story for me to share… For many, many years, I was the victim of intense, institutionalized bullying. Not typical schoolyard bullying; mine was pervasive, psychological, and insidious bullying from my first days at school. As a child, and through high school, I attended a strict, parochial, Orthodox Jewish school, and from my very first days, I stood out. In an environment where conformity was the key to survival, I stood out. At age six, I decided to attend my first day of school in bright yellow pants and plaid shirt. When asked, during what I later learned was an informal IQ test, "What color is the sky?" I told the psychologist it, "Looks a little grey today." From then on, I was labeled a troublemaker. Teachers and classmates alike glommed on to that label and reminded me, day-in and day-out, for thirteen years, that I didn't belong among them. When I started questioning the fundamental traditions of my religion, around age 11 or 12, that's when the bullying really ramped up. It wouldn't just be classmates teasing me on the playground; my actual TEACHERS turned against me in the classrooms. One teacher even told my parents that, spiritually speaking, I was, "A lost cause." I still don't know what serendipity empowered me to emerge from that dark space, but for the past decade, I have been fighting, day after day, on behalf of those for whom some else’s label is limiting their potential. Whether it was students in an “on-level” class who were not expected to think for themselves, or disadvantaged students in one of the poorest schools in DC, to adolescents with special needs who were not receiving the required accommodations in their classrooms, I fought. I moved on to fight on behalf of community college students who were being unfairly held back because they lacked the foundational skills to advance out of zero-credit remedial courses. Through supportive instruction, I helped more than 90% of these students not only advance into credit-bearing courses, but watched many cross the graduation stage. I continued to fight for adults with autism, cerebral palsy, and other disabilities who were denied access to community-based employment and leisure activities. I supported dozens of adults, many of whom had never accessed public transportation, to use the community-based resources and explore their communities, enjoying restaurants and sports activities, and building confidence amid their non-disabled peers. And now, I share my message with audiences around the Country and around the World. I speak to educators, advocates, and students themselves about the damaging act of labeling and the dangers of pernicious self-fulfilling prophecies. And I continue to fight on behalf of those whom others have “counted out.” That is my calling.
