Raul Pineiro Jr. was born in Cuba. He attended and was educated under the socialist doctrine. With only the clothes on their back and without the ability to say goodbye to friends and family, Raul’s family was told, that it was time for them to leave the only home Raul had ever know. At the formative age of 16, Raul and his parents immigrated to the US via a shrimping boat. An Entrepreneur at heart, Raul went into business for himself for the first time in 1989 at the age of 23. The company was bought 3 years later. For several years he tried to work for others, but found that his entrepreneurial creativity was stifled. So, again in 2004, Raul opened yet another business. Feeling the need to find kindred spirits, Raul joined EO, an entrepreneurial support group, in 2012. In order to follow another passion, he recently got involved with several groups to improve the life of Cuban people. He created a MyEO Cuba Group, where EO member can engage with and travel to Cuba. Raul is now becoming a sought after speaker, for Cuban investments, opportunities and the lifting of the US/Cuba embargo.

Susan Bender Phelps, Lead Trainer, Coach, and CEO of Odyssey Mentoring & Leadership delivers engaging and inspiring training programs and "playshops." Susan demonstrates the principles of mentorship, leadership, and effective communication that powerfully shifts workplace culture so that organizations are more productive and staff willingly uses every opportunity to grow, develop, and cause breakthroughs. As an Executive and Management Coach, Susan's work transforms lives and careers. Susan got her start in mentoring and leadership training when she co-founded a mentoring program for at-risk middle school students in the early 1990s. This work is her passion. Every day, it gives her the opportunity to pay forward the gift that had once been given to her. As Executive Director of the New Mexico Youth at Risk Foundation, Susan worked with a mentor to help her grow her organization, hone her leadership skills and master non-profit fundraising and grant writing. To this day, she takes advantage of opportunities to be a mentor and to have a mentor. Susan brings her first-hand knowledge and experience of the power of effective mentoring to her work as a trainer, speaker, and coach. She has learned that just because a person is really good at what they do, has years of experience and the best of intentions, most do not come naturally to the mentoring skills they need. Those skills can be easily learned and mastered. Mentoring benefits both mentees and their mentors. Mentees learn faster than experience alone can teach them. Mentors earn more and rise faster than their colleagues who don’t. Even more important their passion for their own work gets re-ignited. At the end of the day… everyone wins. Susan speaks nationally on mentorship, leadership, and communication. She is the author of Aspire Higher, a collection of true success stories of career and business mentoring. She has a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a master’s in Management & Organizational Leadership.

GODFREY MOYE SELF-EMPOWERMENT SPEAKER AND PERFORMER When a 17-year old boy told Godfrey Moye that, ever since he was eight years old, he knew that as soon as he turned 18, he could get on government assistance, Godfrey knew he had to do something to let our youth know that they have choices – choices that they can make now that would result in a future that is much better than what they’ve been told, or what they assume it would be. That 17-year old’s words ignited a passion within Godfrey, one that lead him to his mission of imparting self-empowerment to pre-teens and young adults. Since 2007, Godfrey has been speaking at high schools, middle schools, colleges, counseling centers, juvenile homes, and churches, operating in his mission, and helping our youth and young adults to know that they possess a great power within themselves – the power of choice. The overall intent of Godfrey’s talk is to teach the students about how, in spite of them not being exposed to consistent examples of success, they each have a purpose on this earth, and that they can and will put an end to the generational cycle of poverty, unemployment, and crime in their families. These same social issues also affect affluent children, as well, especially with the increase of heroin use and overdoses in the suburbs. Godfrey joined the Los Angeles County Office of Education in 2009, where he serves as a Paraeducator, providing individualized instruction and planning activities for students in juvenile halls, juvenile probation camps, and teen drug rehabilitation centers. He previously worked at the North Valley YMCA in Granada Hills, CA for four years, working with children, ages 5-12. Godfrey has been teaching middle school classes at his church in Granada Hills, CA where he also created the B4Men mentorship program for boys, ages 11-14. Godfrey speaks to youth and young adults in a conversational manner that gets them quickly engaged and involved in each topic. He speaks to them on their level, and never with a condescending tone. By the time Godfrey is finished speaking, the impact he has made is apparent by the smiles in the room, and the notes that have been taken. Godfrey has an Associate of Arts degree in Business from the University of Phoenix, where he is also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship. As an actor, Godfrey has appeared in over 25 national commercials, including spots for McDonald’s and AT&T. He has also played numerous roles in hit television shows, such as How I Met Your Mother, Southland, and Cold Case. Godfrey knows how blessed he is to have the opportunity to fulfill his dreams as an actor, singer, dancer, and encourager. He attributes these opportunities to the choices he made when he was young. Godfrey thrives in knowing that he can lead youths and young adults to the choices that will make a difference in their lives, as well.
