Now with a PhD in the psychology of human values and wellbeing, Jackie originally qualified as a behavioural ecology. After her first degree Jackie spent two years helping to reintroduce chimpanzees to the wild in River Gambia National Park. Subsequently her career has meandered through different roles in nature conservation and economic regeneration to the present day and specialising in values and culture - still working with behaviour within a context but the jungle is much more concrete nowadays. As a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a member of the CMI Subject Matter Experts Group Jackie champions the part that values play in individual and collective performance and advocate for more consciously values based cultures in workplaces large and small. Values are a golden thread through all types and sizes of organisation. Values are key to understanding the 'why' behind 'what' gets decided and acted upon. Jackie has been working with one of the world’s leading values profiling tools since 2005 employing it with individuals, groups, teams, consortia and partnerships. Frequently values consciousness positively changes working practice and performance and sometimes even literally transform lives. While the theory of values and culture is interesting stuff, it is the everyday stories of real people and how values awareness can create meaning, increasing motivation, that audiences find really fascinating.

Alvin campaigns for policy changes to address poverty. In 2015 he ran the First Job Opportunities programme. First Job Opportunities are jobs-with-training for people in poverty who have never had a job. The first major success was the use of a procurement model which states that for every £1m spent on public procurement, one first job opportunity is created. Now, contracts in total worth over £760m are implementing the model. As a community organiser, Alvin led the Citizens’ Inquiry into the Tottenham Riots. This was the community-led response to the events that shocked England in the summer of 2011. This grassroots effort engaged 10,000 local people and led to jobs for young people and the suspension of section 60 stop and searches in the area. Alvin advises governments and global corporations on leadership and social impact. He is an advisor to a €5 million research project that is examining the obstacles and opportunities affecting youth employment in Europe. He is currently advising the government of Trinidad and Tobago to support the establishment of its statutory National Youth Commission. In 2014 he was awarded a Winston Churchill Travel Fellowship to research how community leaders are addressing social exclusion across the US. Alvin has lectured at the University of Connecticut, has delivered keynote speeches in the House of Lords, and has debated in Cambridge Union. He has also appeared on CNN, BBC, Televisión Española, AFP, and Channel 4 to discuss politics and economics. He was selected to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2016 in Davos. I've been user interface designer, sitebuilder, e-learning specialist and now my focus is on growing a happy, effective and value-oriented team. Building an agile company for me is a cultural factor, and is not a matter of methodology. I am surrounded by a couple of excellent problem solvers. I am not good in this. The connection means more to me than the answer. I prefer the piano to chess. Jiu jitsu to swimming. I am engaged in building trust among team members. I am motivated to form a working environment where everyone can find his/her voice and expectations. Where growth and flow determine each day. Where common practice dictates the schedule. I am moving on borderlines. When I get into something, I always start seeking other areas where I can adopt the new knowledge. I appreciate when something is easily defined, and I can join the process from the very beginning. In my free time I am looking for new topics, when I get obsessed by something, it happens that I get addicted for years. Newly I got caught by Brasilian jiu jitsu and bowing folk music for Transylvanian folk dance of Szék.
