Ronald Hummons's life has been a testament to resilience in the face of adversity. Growing up in the tough streets of Over-the-Rhine in Cincinnati, he faced poverty and abuse from an early age, finding solace only in nature, and the dream of being a dr. After a tumultuous childhood marked by homelessness and dropping out of school, Ronald found himself in prison at twenty-one, serving almost seven years for felonious assault. But even in the confines of prison, Ronald's entrepreneurial spirit shone through. He sketched clothing designs as a means of coping with frustration and boredom, laying the foundation for what would later become Grapevine Collection. Upon his release, Ronald faced the harsh reality of reintegration into society, struggling to find employment and ending up homeless. Determined to turn his life around, Ronald embarked on a journey of self-education and entrepreneurship. He immersed himself in research at the Cincinnati Library, attended classes offered by the Small Business Association, and reached out to investors to bring his clothing line to fruition. Grapevine Collection, with lines like C-town Apparel and OHIO HOME APPAREL, not only became a successful business venture but also earned Ronald recognition from the city for his work with youthful offenders and his Cincinnati-themed clothing. However, tragedy struck in 2015 when Ronald's oldest son, Trepierre, lost his battle with manic depression and died in a confrontation with the police. Hello I’m Karl. I am a fitness trainer and model. I’ve been a trainer for almost 30 years training fmr. Pro athletes, CEO’s such as John Pepper of Procter and Gamble and a whole host of distinguished personalities around the tri-state area. About 11 years ago I gained about 120 lbs due to depression from losing my mom to pancreatic cancer and going through a bitter divorce from my wife at the time. While going through that time in my life I had to learn to love “me” again and start dealing with my mental health, See I grew up in a very violent and abusive household and to top it off we were extremely poor. I was totally ashamed of my upbringing so much that I wouldn’t talk about my past or just lie about it because I hated it and it made me feel insecure and inadequate. So all those raw emotions and feelings drove me to an unhealthy place in life. It wasn’t until I started to realize that the only way I’m going to snap out of this is to change my body which will help me like myself more. So I started working out like a mad man and eventually I lost over 120 lbs. What was crazy about this transformation was that alot of opportunities I was afraid to take a shot at in my 20-30’s were coming back around in my 50’s as modeling and acting opportunities were opening up for me. My physical health saved my mental health and that is why I’m such an advocate for not being afraid of your past and moving beyond your current fears of vulnerability and using that vulnerability as a launching pad to a new you!
