As a long time educator and current math specialist I have had the privilege of working with students as young as kindergarten to college age students. As a coach I have also had the opportunity to work with and provide professional development to other educators. Throughout my journey as a teacher and current role as a math coach I have unveiled the lack of financial literacy in the school system. Through self education I was able to empower myself with financial literacy knowledge - such as studying the market, learning the advantages of different types of retirement/taxable accounts, buying wealth building assets, and overall learning how to make effective decisions that has increased my net worth. In doing so I was able to change the trajectory of my family's future and I am inspired to help many others as well. From my life learning experiences combined with my skills as an educator who writes and revises curriculum, presents to and educates staff, students, and families, I now help other educators who teach the financial literacy classes so their students can confidently graduate high school as a financial literate adult. Additionally, I have created a Parent & Me course where parents and kids openly discuss and learn about the once taboo topic of money. My goal is to have money talk be an open topic in the household and to let it be the bridge that closes the wealth gap. Lastly, with a degree in mathematics and a masters in math education I am making it a priority to end the stigma that complicated math is needed in order to be financially literate. I am confident that I will be able to contribute life building skills that will make a meaningful impact on peoples lives now and for generations to come.

Stacia Kalinoski is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, author, and documentary filmmaker who motivates audiences across the country to overcome challenges by sharing her story of resilience—from job loss to brain surgery. Stacia was a healthy college athlete when her first seizure struck. Seizures would eventually end her love of running marathons, and then, her journalism career. The worst day of her life led to the realization she needed to take control of her health. When Stacia’s doctor told her she qualified for surgery, an idea struck. She could educate people and help reduce the stigma of epilepsy by sharing her story and those of others in a documentary. Stacia produced and edited "Brainstorm," which premiered on Twin Cities PBS, earned a regional Emmy nomination, and went on to air on PBS stations across the country. Her memoir, “Racing From Reality: My Uphill Battle Against Epilepsy,” is in the process of being published.

David Richard Roesener, a well-known medical physicist from Dublin, Ohio, has been working with the radiation oncology division at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center since the beginning of 2014. Prior to this, he held a senior medical physics position with Global Physics Solutions, a Chicago, Illinois-based company, where he was in charge of two locations in the Chicagoland area. In advance of state audits conducted by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, he prepared many facilities. David Roesener also has a plethora of experience in the fields of materials science and metallurgical engineering. He carried out materials failure analysis research between 2003 and 2004 while working for Byron Products in Fairfield, Ohio, as a metallurgical engineering consultant. Additionally, he provided technical support and improved the business's sales practices. From 1997 through 2002, Mr. Roesener was employed at Delphi Safety and Interiors in Vandalia, Ohio, as a materials engineer. Prior to that, he worked as a metallurgical engineer with MQS Inspection in Cincinnati, Ohio. David R. Roesener holds a bachelor's degree in materials engineering. He also holds two science master's degrees from the University of Cincinnati. In 2002, he received his initial degree in biomedical engineering. He received a degree in Medical Physics in 2005. Mr. Roesener served on the ASM International Committee from 1996 until 2003. He was given the ASM Outstanding Young Member honor in 1999. Among other honors and credentials, David Roesener also holds the William Tholke Scholarship Award, is a current member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, and has held his professional engineer license from the State of Ohio since 2003. In his spare time, Mr. Roesener enjoys reading in a variety of subjects, from classic literature to scientific literature. He also likes playing music, playing sports for fun, and working out.
