Student insider challenging schools to let go of what no longer serves learning.
The Future of Schools Starts with Letting Go
Schools are trying to prepare students for the future by adding more—more technology, more standards, more pressure. But what if progress doesn’t start with adding anything at all? In this talk, a 14-year-old student offers an inside-the-system perspective on what schools are holding onto that no longer serves learning. Drawing from firsthand experience across multiple education systems, the talk challenges educators to rethink outdated assumptions about control, success, and readiness. Rather than calling for disruption or rebellion, this presentation makes a case for adaptability: why the future of schools depends less on new tools and more on the courage to let go.
