Civility in the Workplace: Fumes of Anger and the New Normal. About the Presentation: Battered by the attacks on DEI, a global pandemic, worker furloughs, terminations, healthcare risks, and psychological stressors, today’s organizations are being traumatized by a new form of organizational toxicity: “incivility” and “cultural tribalism.” It is a new kind of dysfunctionality, one that is eroding the principles of employee engagement, commitment, teamwork, and organizational self-esteem. Leadership at every juncture is being challenged to nurture and heal the “soul” of an enterprise that is being lost in the fire of economic, emotional, and tribal conflict. The question is: “How can one attract, retain, and inspire employees?” The answer lies in monetizing the currency of New-Age Compassion.
