Pitching: The art of persuasion
All presentations should have the goal of selling: even if it’s just the speaker’s own point of view. In this workshop we will use the framework of pitching to learn how to convince our audience or almost anything. Participants will work together in small groups to create a pitch using the techniques shown for an awful idea. The challenge is to try to sell the impossible, CONTENT A truly awful pitch will be shown for analysis and discussion. The Art of Public Speaking
Good communication requires oratorical and rhetorical skills. Experience helps, but is insufficient to master these skills. In this workshop we look at the practical and theoretical skills needed to become a polished speaker. In this workshop participants will deliver short speeches to the audience, be filmed doing so, and then shown their performances in order to better understand where they can improve.
