Jess shares her lived experience of Mental Health, Addiction and recovery in an inspiring fashion
Growing up in crisis
Nobody wakes up one day, for the first time says “today I will be mentally unwell”. Nobody wakes up one day and says, for the first time; “today I will self medicate in such a damaging way to overcome my feelings”. These feelings, they build overtime. This is a lesson I learned and a life I lived that taught me that. It taught me that by ignoring my mind, I ignore myself.
Your perspective matters!
