Ultimately, the idea that the only thing stopping us is ourselves is flawed and damaging and actually disempowers us. It's intimidating to believe that we are the only agent of change in our lives-- because that's a massive job. Instead, we need to see life as a series of winnable moments and we need to see the people around us as potential allies and we must see the world as a series of opportunities.
