About
I'm primarily an educator. I get my buzz from delegates leaving my talks with actionable advice.
What's Your Name Again?
How can you minimise the chance of business failure and optimise opportunities to grow? Get to know your buyers and what they want from you before you set out in business and build knowledge of your customers as you continue to scale. This presentation offers a humorous but serious narrative as to why understanding your users and the importance of giving them an exceptional experience should be at the top of your list!
Don't Botch the Buttons!
This presentation offers a high-level introduction to the concepts of information architecture and interaction design. I allude to the world of architecture and the parallels between the architecture and UX as well as offering lots of examples of micro-interactions and how they can make the whole experience a better one. The main takeaway is that no matter how good the architecture of a site, botch the small interactions and you will turn away customers. This presentation can end with an optional card-sorting exercise if required.
Pitching? How to use the UX discovery phase to nail it.
Going in for a pitch? This talk explores the world of UX discovery and how adopting this approach to pitching will put you ahead of the rest.
