The low retention and graduation success rates for Black male student-athletes remains an issue at private Midwest predominantly white institutions. Studies have shown a difference between Black and White male student athletes' success over 30 years. The presentation aims is to discuss the impact that holistic support service programming can have on the lived experiences of Black male student-athletes with an increased understanding of the reasons for low retention/graduation success rates.
