Claire Boyce is a fine artist and poet, originally from Boulder, Colorado. Born with an inherent passion for the arts, she studied drawing, painting, and sculpture in Colorado at the Art Student’s League of Denver starting in 2007 – after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Anthropology and Biology. Her BA education included studying abroad in Kenya, as well as a tenure as an assistant teacher at a pre-med program in Antigua. But soon after she graduated from college, Claire realized her true path was in the arts. At the Art Student's League, Claire had the privilege of learning from accomplished artists such as Quang Ho, Daniel Sprick, Molly Davis, Jeff Wenzel, and Yenni Tawahadi. Claire’s passion for learning and teaching art prompted her to start teaching art to children and adults. She had been accepted to UNM’s graduate program in art education when a bicycle accident while she was working, and a resulting head injury, changed the course of her life. Her plans were derailed as she underwent the arduous, frustrating process of relearning many skills she had spent years honing, as well as dealing with various additional challenges: the loss of her home, income, and multiple relationships, and the trauma of navigating the dysfunctional Workers Compensation system and dealing with doctors who didn’t care about her health. But her love and passion for art – which had always been a guiding light in her life – was just as important in her healing. After a few years, Claire had recovered enough to finally make the move from Colorado to New Mexico, a place she had yearned to call home not only because of the inspiring landscapes, enchanting historical charm, bustling creative communities, and unique cultural heritage – but because of something more ethereal, calling her to the Land of Enchantment. She volunteered as a WOOFER and art teacher on an off-grid farm in Algodones before settling in Santa Fe in July of 2019. After such a remarkable journey of loss and transformation, finally being at “home” in New Mexico felt nothing short of miraculous. Claire’s artwork integrates her deep and encompassing love for New Mexico and her connection with the soul of the southwest, her classical training at the Art Student’s League, influences from New Mexico painters of the 1920s and 1930s, particularly Ernst Blumenschein, fauvism, abstract art inspired by synesthesia, and, of course, her own unique journey. Claire has had poetry and prose published in multiple print and online journals, including The Avocet and The Elephant Journal. She was a regular contributor to Plenilune Magazine, where she authored a column entitled “Food for the Soul.” In 2018, Claire published a book of her poetry and drawings called (Love is) the Secret Language of Fools. Her fine art has been exhibited in juried shows and galleries throughout Colorado and New Mexico.

Dawn is an inspiring and strong woman who grew up with a very encouraging mother who always taught her to 'Never Say Can't Always Say Can’. The word CAN'T wasn’t allowed to come out of her mouth. Her mother was her greatest supporter and encourager. With those early beginnings, Dawn developed a belief that, within herself and within every woman that she meets, there are gifts and a purpose to be released into the world. Whenever she meets another woman, she sees the potential and speaks into their life. She believes that a woman's gifts open doors to more opportunities, and that so many women are not fulfilling their purpose because they are afraid to step out and reach into the soul and spirit of who they really ARE. Dawn is a woman of faith, courage, power, patience and persistence. She holds herself accountable to God and to uplifting other women along her path. She believes that her purpose in life is to empower other women to do the same.

I come from a long line of healers and wanted to become a doctor since before I can even remember. Apparently, as a toddler, I would declare ailing grandparents healed after caring for them and would pretend to make them medicines from food and herbs. This desire stayed with me throughout childhood and when I learned about Naturopathic Medicine it made perfect sense to me to treat whole persons and not just symptoms using natural means. Over the years, I have found that many of patients struggle with a combination of digestive disturbance, fatigue and mood imbalances like depression or anxiety. These concerns are always connected yet they had seen many other practitioners who approached their care by attempting to “put out symptom fires”. This left my patients feeling exhausted and frustrated. I have since focused my practice on caring for this exact constellation of concerns and have helped thousands of patients reclaim their health and vitality through comprehensive testing, diet and lifestyle changes and education regarding therapeutic self care. Deep healing comes from being seen and feeling heard. This is what I offer my patients. My job is to listen attentively as you share your health concerns and then use my experience to identify the root causes of symptom patterns that manifest in various systems within the body. I empower you with the knowledge of what is going on in your body. Together, we develop a treatment plan that focuses on those root causes so that you may enjoy lasting relief from symptoms and prevent future disease.
