Throughout the journey of my life I have engaged and triumphed in various activities escalating from the national level to the international arena . Having won the National Public Speaking competition in Sri Lanka I represented Sri Lanka at the International Public Speaking Competition (IPSC) organized by the English Speaking Union of London, which is the highest achievement in the last year of my secondary education . Competing with over 56 participants across 49 countries and after three strenuous rounds of rivalry, I got selected to the top 06 student speakers in the IPSC for the year 2016 . The exposure and the experience I gained as a public speaker boosted my interest in news reading . Consequently I became the All island best news reader ( English ) at Nexu 2016. Having compered in intra school and public shows such as ‘Miyesi wsanthaya 2016’ / ‘sihina charika 2017’ / Richmun 2018, I have encountered a great number of experiences to polish up my compering skills . i hope to pursue my news reading and compering career part time . As a motivational speaker I strive to motivate my audience through my personal story of reaching the international level to find my voice at a very young age as I believe, ‘If I could do it.Anyone can. You just got to discover the inner power within you’ . Public speaking has not only helped me to speak with confidence and to build a global network of inspiring young individuals from all over the world but also to make a difference in so many lives all across the globe.

I have a shocking training confession: I’m a bad student. I know what it’s like to stare at a screen and be frustrated by poorly implemented learning programs. By engaging people with the right content, in the right place at the right time, I can get people excited about learning in our distracted world. I’ve always liked sharing knowledge. As a kid, I was the person who read the museum plaque so I could tell my family what I learned. Today, I do the same thing on a larger scale through instructional design and multimedia learning technologies. In short, I unpack topics into easy to understand learning. At Mindset Digital I develop videos and online courses to educate learners on social media and online best practices. When planning each video, course and training session, I like to think about the big picture. This involves: ● unpacking objectives to ensure each training program engages and educates the learner, aligns with organizational goals and provides an appropriate solution. ● designing high-impact visuals to capture the audience's attention ● staying on top of current advances and changes in learning technology to deliver results with optimum effectiveness and efficiency I like to joke that I’m extremely motivated by my own laziness. There’s a kernel of truth to it, though: I love finding new shortcuts so people can work smarter and no harder than a task requires. It’s refreshing when I can take what I’ve learned and help somebody do their job better. And every success story just inspires me to keep pushing further in the quest for more learning and better results. Specialties include: public speaking & workshop facilitation | instructional design | training | learning technology | E-learning | project management | PowerPoint | digital transformation | L&D strategy | community management
