Despite the fact that many doors were closed to him during his search for a new job due to the economic situation, Rafi succeeded and started working for Weissman Real Estate in Lawrence, NY. This small firm focused only on residential rentals and sales. Overall, this period of time was very successful for Rafi. Success led to success, and Rafi Toledano was able to purchase a number of properties totaling millions of dollars. From a small Strip Center in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn to approximately 20 NYC buildings valued at $250mm +, one can certainly argue that success bred success. Raphael Toledano is the founder and president of Brookhill Properties, one of New York City's leading real estate investment firms. The firm completed a $97 million, 16-building multi-family portfolio in the East Village in 2015. This deal included 301 residential units and 15 retail tenants. Understanding that his real success was from the East Village, Rafi believes that he must give back to his benefactors. Thus he supports and maintains The Creative Little Garden, an oasis of tranquility in the East Village in which guests can just sit down and relax. Unfortunately, there are homeless people living in the East Village. In order to support these individuals, Rafi is a proud sponsor of the food pantry and homeless shelter. He also contributes to many organizations such as Project Extreme, a 501(c)3 organization dealing exclusively with the unfortunate teens.
