Lisa MD Owens is a learning expert who combines her engineering mindset with her deep interest in instructional design and learning sciences to create training that moves business forward, while moving employee-learners into careers they love. In the later part of her 30+ year career at Procter & Gamble, Lisa was P&G’s leading global training professional, with a broad range of cutting-edge internal learning programs. She also co-created the first Fortune-100 multi-national job posting online program to help over 60,000 employees find their next job inside the company. After retiring from P&G in 2011, Lisa partnered with Crystal Kadakia to research and solve issues facing the Learning & Development (Training) departments in this modern age. From this research emerge the Owens-Kadakia Learning Cluster Design Model (OK-LCD), which is touted as the next evolution for the L&D industry beyond blended learning. Since 2016, the workshop on the model receives top reviews from attendees. When shared at the 2021 atd International Conference, the conference bookstore sold out of the book! In the learning space, Lisa co-authored “Designing for Modern Learning: Beyond ADDIE and SAM” (2020), “Leaders as Teachers Action Guide” (2014) and "Lo Start-Up Di Una Corporate University" (2012 Italian). Since 2009, she annually judges for learning awards such as ATD BEST Awards and CLO ELITE. In the career space, Lisa coauthored the textbook, “Your Career: How to Make it Happen" 9th & 10th edition. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (1977 Georgia Tech), and Masters in Education (1996 UC). She worked at the Savannah River nuclear facility ('72-76), joined P&G in 1977 as a Process Design & Construction Engineer, and in 1992, took on full-time global training responsibilities. She is married (since 1978), with two sons and grandchildren. She has been active in church education and was the lead instructional designer for a nation-wide multi-day, youth leadership training programs that is still in use since its 2003 roll out. You can find Lisa in Cape Coral, Florida in winter, and Ellicott City, Maryland in warmer months. Throughout the year, she and her husband travel, with National Parks as typical destinations.

Raised with a hard work ethic, which she has honed with a will of steel, April Holmes has redefined what it means to be disabled. April was involved in a train accident in 2001 that resulted in the loss of her left leg below the knee. While she lay in her hospital bed, a doctor told her about the Paralympic Games and three goals were firmly implanted in her mind. She desired to wear the USA uniform. She wanted to break world records. She was determined to win gold medals. Since her career in Paralympic track & field began in 2002, Holmes has continued to succeed, improving each and every step of the way. Over her astonishing career, April was honored to wear the USA uniform at every major championship between 2002-2016. She has put together several undefeated seasons, broken IPC World Records fourteen times and American Records eighteen times in the 100, 200, 400 meters and the long jump, won 3 Paralympic medals (1 Gold, 2 Bronze); and 5 World Championship medals. With a commanding lead over the growing field of competitors, Holmes had a way of captivating track enthusiast with her grace and style. Off the track, Holmes runs the April Holmes Foundation, Inc. a non-profit organization assisting people with physical and learning disabilities with scholarships and medical equipment. Having completed her MBA in Marketing, Holmes uses her education to improve the awareness of people with disabilities. John D. Hollis lists 17 years of daily newspaper experience, including nearly 10 at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and lengthy stint as a correspondent for Time Magazine. Rugby coaching is not my job. I am in the TV production business since more than twenty years now. Rugby coaching starts for me as a leisure. I was following my youngest son who plays rugby at Boitsfort Rugby Club. As I was present there every time he plays, one of his coach ask me to give a hand as a volunteer five years ago. Now I am U12 head coach at Boitsfort Rugby Club. And I just spent a fantastic season with these kids. They have won all major titles against the best rugby schools based in France and England.
