Ed Thompson had a bright future in the conventional sense — he was an Oxford graduate with promising career prospects. Then he was hit by a bus. The resulting traumatic head injury kept him from holding a steady job. He had trouble remembering things and processing information. But he turned that challenge into an opportunity to become a workplace neurodiversity expert. Eventually, this led to him to create Uptimize. Since then, Uptimize has helped Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, IBM, Accenture and JPMorgan supercharge their teams’ performance by leveraging the talents of all neurotypes. Thompson is an authority within the “Neurodiversity at Work” movement that has highlighted the unique skills of neurodivergent individuals, such as autistic people, ADHDers, or dyslexic people, and the fact that this talent is often unintentionally excluded in the workplace. His book, "A Hidden Force," an Amazon #1 Best-Seller, provides a compelling case for how organizations gain a competitive edge by cultivating the talents of all types of thinkers in their teams. LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ed-uptimize/ Uptimize: https://uptimize.com/ A Hidden Force: https://uptimize.com/a-hidden-force/ He has appeared in Forbes, Inc., BBC, The Globe and Mail, Psychology Today, and numerous other publications.

For nearly 20 years I worked with the largest food, technology, and entertainment brands in the world, transforming their brands with research backed strategic approaches. It was awesome. But it burnt me out. I started Syrup Coaching to help busy professionals and parents - just like me - get their energy back, their mojo so to speak. I developed a framework and tested it over and over (like a well-trained strategist does). And over and over again, it worked. Family, friends, and then clients would follow my plan and feel like they got their energy back (without the help of 3pm lattes or power naps) and felt like their vibrant selves again. The framework didn't add another thing to an already never-ending to-do list. Or to ask people to hyper-task more than they were already expected to. It was easy-to-incorporate and it stuck, making it a lifestyle vs. a short-term solution. I currently work with 1:1 clients who are craving to feel like themselves again. Creating customized programs based on where they’re at and what they (or their household) need. Additionally, I work with corporations who want to retain top talent. Working directly with the employees to teach them strategies on how to avoid burnout and find that healthy work-life blend. I truly believe that we all need to feel vibrant and alive. That’s when we show up best for the world around us, but most importantly, ourselves. It’s my mission to give busy people the tools to get their energy back. ⚡️
