Dominique Williams, a native of Bridgeton, New Jersey, played running back in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Jets. He also played in the CFL (Canadian Football League) for the Calgary Stampeders. Dom graduated from Bridgeton High School in 2008 and went on to attend Milford Academy, a post-secondary school for football players who lacked the GPA or SAT scores to attend a four-year university. While at Milford Academy, Dom worked extremely hard to position himself as a leader on and off the field which awarded him a partial scholarship to attend Wagner College. In his first season at Wagner, he won the starting running back position as a true freshman. In the following season, as a sophomore, he gained the coaches respect and was offered a full scholarship. I am a Queer nonprofit leader and lifelong learner working to assert the value of the unique role that cultural nonprofits play in the world of social justice. Through ALK Consulting, I further this work by offering LGBTQ+ inclusion workshops to cultural organizations to create more affirming spaces for staff, visitors, and the community at large.
