Dave started as a teenager writing Space Shuttle software for NASA, and also had a weekly radio show for punk and comedy. Every day since has been even more fun and strange. He loves learning, and his diverse expertise includes: • Technology (data, code, security) • Publishing (games, novels, reference works) • Nerd Culture (comics, games, online) • Preaching (sermons about zombies, pirates, aliens, and more) Technologically, he’s spent twenty-five years of designing, developing, databasing, documenting, and directing a variety of projects in many industries. Projects include areospace, anti-fraud, anti-terrorism, data accuracy, virtual reality, geospatial analytics, and automated systems. Some industries are safety, gaming, healthcare, and finance. Bookishly, he’s written hundreds of magazine articles, co-written several books, led three magazines as editor-in-chief, edited about five million words, and created an independent small press which published over a hundred books over 13 years. Spiritually, he works for the Lord to reach his fellow nerds and weirdos. He preaches at conventions dedicated to games, science fiction, and other geeky hobbies. He's served as vice president of the Christian Gamers Guild since 2003.

Storysailing® is a simple and elegant thought model I use to teach business transformation through storytelling to leaders, teams, organizations, and entrepreneurs through my books, keynotes, workshops, and coaching. I’m a business communications expert and professional speaker, an award-winning writer and designer, a "tough love" editor, a capable coder, and a pretty good jazz guitarist. Whether you’re an executive trying to write a better success story, an organization trying to connect and engage, or a visionary with a vision to express through technology, design, speaking, writing, or music, I look forward to showing you how StorySailing will catalyze your business transformation. Why stories? When I was 18, I was inspired by a scruffy sailor who told me amazing stories about faraway places and storms at sea. I wanted stories of my own. While still in college, I bought a small sailboat and began to fix her up. Eventually, I set sail with $30 in my pocket and a locker full of food and dreams. My adventures carried me thousands of miles—through the Bahamas, across the Atlantic Ocean to Gibraltar, and up the east coast of the United States. Years later, I returned to the land of clocks and calendars with what I’d been seeking—stories. My wanderings gave me an unexpected gift. I had learned the secrets to what makes stories powerful, meaningful, and influential. I place my stories in the service of professionals who use them to build cohesive teams, close sales, communicate authentically, enrich corporate culture, foster deeper relationships with customers, and pursue meaningful professional lives. http://storysailing.com

Hi! I'm Emma. When I look back on the 20 years I have been on this earth, I can recognize that I've always been a leader. I was the little girl organizing all the Barbies and Polly Pockets. I was always the store owner when playing house. In school I somehow always found myself in the position of leading the team/group. I was always the one that had the plan of action and was ready to go all in. I was ALWAYS the leader and I am now recognizing that. I have worked along side with some of the best and worst types of leadership in my eyes. I've spent hours studying leadership from Walt Disney, Rachel Hollis, Tony Robbins, various leaders of countries, and many more very note-able people and I am ready to tell it all! From my sunshine filled childhood in Arizona, through the awkward stages of middle school and living in a new state, to the careless free days of highschool, to now. I have experienced and learned so much about myself. I want to help others, in whatever they are doing, recognize that leadership is so much more than they ever realized. This world is in desperate need of a confidence boost and I am here to fill that empty tank up!
