Sean is a graduate of New College of Florida, where he studied and received a bachelors in Marine Biology and Ecology. After graduating with honors, he became an Aquatic Biologist working in the swamps, lakes, and other bodies of water found in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. After being disillusioned by the traditional, costly, impermanent, and ineffective systems within the private sector of environmental management, he began researching alternative methods of restoring Florida's landscapes to their most balanced and natural forms. Stocking Savvy was born with this vision in mind. Now, he utilizes naturally-occurring biological systems, native plant species, harvesting, and a coalition of green businesses to restore habitat across our state. He believes every backyard can be a flourishing habitat and every pond a paradise - if you want to know how, you want to know Sean at Stocking Savvy. Other Qualifications include: FDACS Herbicide Applicator for Aquatics Publications: "Frogfish Vagility Between Natural and Artificial Structure" SCUBA and First Aid Certified Spoke at the Following Conferences on Multimodal Biological Control: Environmental Summit 2018, Saving Nemo, Florida Association of Native Nurseries 2019, New College New Scholars, and currently a project coordinator for the Sarasota Manatee Ecoflora Project in Partnership with Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.

Born and raised in southern England. My life pivoted on a run in with a life changing illness in 2011. After which I went from a being a self-defence specialist to diving into the more rewarding nonprofit sector, intent on doing good after nearly having my life snatched away. I learned from the ground up what works and doesn't work in terms of fundraising and nonprofit structures, plus I studied and honed the means of how to best organise and motivate a hugely diverse group of people, both paid and unpaid staff. I then headed out to examine the nonprofit Industry around the world, working in Thailand and the south of France, amongst other places, bringing all my experience and hard earned advice together in a new venture called Light-on-light. This project aims to unite the power of a multitude of personal stories to illuminate wider human truths and give advice to those affected by similar circumstances. It unites my passion for those incredible unsung heroes who keep the world turning, my passion to educate and my passion to write. Around this I have my own publishing company called Weather house books Ltd, a best selling memoir about my home town Brighton called 'A Brightonian book' plus a 12k Instagram writing page. I'm a regular contributor to both print and online publications plus my work has been performed on British radio. I'm energised to meet and speak to as many people as I can, if I have one hour of your time, I make sure that hour makes a difference. Impactful is a buzz word in the public speaking world but it's true and my primary focus.

Lou is the founder of Our Emotional Life and author of Our Emotional life, The neuroscience of Our Emotions. Lou has always been a teacher able to motivate others through supportive instruction. Lou believes that to live a good life, a person should learn to do something of value very well then serve others with that knowledge. As an Emotions Advisor, Educator, Speaker, Author, and founder of Our Emotional Life Lou dedicated his life to the service and well-being of others. Lou explains that like most of us, he grew up without understanding where emotions come from or how to regulate and control them. He received the standard responses in regards to his emotions like, it will pass, don't worry about it, it will be ok, or his favorite, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Well, he learned that what doesn't kill you doesn't always make you stronger. Sometimes the pain didn't pass. Sometimes painful emotions create lasting emotional consequences. Like the rest of us, he tucked away his feelings because that's what he thought he was supposed to do. No one told Lou otherwise. Emotions weren't discussed. Noticing how many people lacked knowledge of their emotions, how they develop, and how to control and improve them, Lou was inclined to develop Our Emotional Life to allow people to understand and improve their emotional life, providing access to a credible source of knowledge and practice methodology for the understanding and development of our emotional life, and to learn how our brain builds itself in early childhood and influences our emotional temperament and personality. Our emotions can guide us and help us make good decisions, or our emotions can rule us and make our lives miserable. Our Emotional Life was written to help us improve our emotional control through acceptance, awareness, knowledge, and practice. Lou is a graduate of Adelphi University & NYU Post Graduate Medical School, a former NYU Post Graduate Medical School Instructor. He was appointed Chairman and lead instructor for a federally granted program at the Educational Opportunities Commission, Bronx, N.Y. Lou also developed and facilitated after-school and summer programs for youth. Using all his experience and knowledge he developed the program and wrote the book Our Emotional Life. In his spare time, Lou is an artist, athlete, and an avid martial artist. He loves to eat fresh food and cooks daily. Lou is passionate about teaching, driven to learn and excited about other people’s success, and eager to support people committed to improving their emotional life. I'm a System Safety Manager at Rivian Automotive leading a team of talented engineers across projects in defining safety architecture for vehicle controls and testing requirements. Before Rivian, I was working in Lyft's autonomous L5 division. What I loved about this role was navigating through ambiguity given the autonomous safety space was, and in some aspects, still is, largely undefined. At Lyft, I primarily focused on software functional safety where we worked on defining a new age software safety architecture that can support driverless cars. I worked closely with the sensor teams - perception, prediction, planning and control teams to define safety critical features for their work streams. I've represented Lyft as an active member of AVSC (The Automated Vehicle Safety Consortium) and supported the committee with the publication of "AVSC Best Practice for First Responder Interactions with Fleet-Managed Automated Driving System-Dedicated Vehicles (ADS-DVs)". I've been invited as a Safety Advisor for aUToronto, The University of Toronto Self-Driving Car Team and to multiple university challenges as a judge, like MIT IDEAS Reviewing Committee, Big Ideas Contest Judge at University of California, Berkeley, Conrad Challenge, Silicon Valley Innovation Challenge Judge at San Jose State University, California, etc. I also hold an approved patent on Control Redundancy (https://patents.google.com/patent/US10331128). Over the course of my career I've also obtained an ISO 26262 certification. I truly love what I do and therefore I try to share and learn as much as I can.

Throughout my personal and professional career, I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge, insight, and gratitude for what it takes to be successful by thinking outside the box. I realize the importance of teams and communication and why it is needed to succeed in a globalized workforce. We often see the world through our lens (eyes) base on our upbringing, knowledge gained, and experience. This, however, leaves an entire world of things we may never have thought of or seen. Building diversified teams that are engaging can open our horizons to new ideas, concepts, and solutions. After all, education is all about sharing knowledge and information with one another. Through the motto: “Life Aint Hard, It’s a Growth Perspective,” I develop inspirational leadership initiatives that focus on improving business operations. By creating intellectually stimulating environments, I strive to develop content and concepts that enhance knowledge, retention, and overall success. As a functional educator, I don’t focus solely on unnecessary information that goes in one ear and out the other. In other words, I try to bridge the gap outdated between theories and try to relate it to use in the real world based on personal experiences, current events, and other information. So, you’re probably wondering who the heck I am. Well, I’m originally from Upper Michigan, a born and raised Yooper (Say yah to da U.P., eh?), that went to college in lower Michigan at Ferris State University. From Ferris, I received my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Systems Administration and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Quality Improvement. My Doctorate (Ph.D.) is in Organizational Development and Leadership with a concentration in Risk Mitigation from Ashford University. I have over 15-year experience identifying, planning/consulting, and specializing in operations, leadership, systems, project management, and people. I believe education is a two-way street and something never-ending. Maybe it is just me, but I love to learn and would be a modern-day Van Wilder if I could. With over 15 years of experience in both private and public sectors, I ensure organizational success with a marked emphasis on: • Organizational Development and Leadership • Emotional Intelligence • Entrepreneurship • Strategic Planning • Innovation and Creative Change Management • Agile Project Management • Business and Personal Analysis • Goal Setting • Quality Improvement • Program & People Assessments • Organic and Inorganic Business Development • Program Creation, Implementation, & Support
