Finding Joy in Your Journey
"Don’t run from tests and hardships, brothers and sisters. As difficult as they are, you will ultimately find joy in them; if you embrace them, your faith will blossom under pressure and teach you true patience as you endure. And true patience brought on by endurance will equip you to complete the long journey and cross the finish line—mature, complete, and wanting nothing." --James 1:2-4 (The Voice) Are you trusting Jesus as your Tour Guide on this journey of life? Using examples of Biblical journeys, Lori shows how the only One who knows what it's like to be on our particular journey is the essential travel companion. This topic can be a 3-part retreat-style set of talks, or it can be condensed into a single talk for your group.
Trainwreck
An urban definition of the term "trainwreck" reads, "A person or situation that can't escape an inevitable bad outcome; hence, a trainwreck." (example: "The woman can't ever get a good man, a good job, or education. Her life stinks. She is a trainwreck!") Ever felt like the caption on the picture of your life was a trainwreck? In this message, Lori provides a unique look at the woman who dared to believe that simply touching Jesus' clothes would heal her...and what exactly He did for her that day she chose to reach out to Him.
The Ultimate Cowgirl: The Woman of Proverbs 31
This message takes a candid look at Proverbs 31, working hard to break the preconceived notion that many women have about this virtuous wife.
