The world's most amazing motivational speaker: what we can learn from Gandhi

Being a professional speaker can be one of the most difficult positions one can face.

Getting up on stage, time and time again, takes more bravery than most people will have the courage to muster in their lifetime. Learning to be a truly inspiring speaker takes endless drive and motivation.

Sometimes inspiration can fizzle out. Sometimes it can be challenging to stay motivated.

A few weeks ago, we stumbled on this article about one of the world’s most inspiring leaders, Mahatma Gandhi.

The article “5 Gandhi Quotes to Inspire Taking on Your Mission”, by Matthew Toren for Entrepreneur was originally written for entrepreneurs, but while reading it, we thought that the ideas were motivating for speakers as well.

Whether you are a new speaker starting out and trying to find your own voice, or a seasoned speaker who needs to add a bit of spark back into your presentations, these five quotes will prompt you to look at how you lead your sessions and your talks.
